An Intro to Law: Check yourself before you wreck yourself
Legal issues are amongst the most common concerns for young founders. Many youg founders forego legal protection because they simply can't afford it and don't think they can do it themselves.
In this workshop, you’ll learn about a range of legal topics including how to incorporate your business, how to set up contracts (including for employees), and how to protect your intellectual property.
Jonathan Crabtree is the founder of Crabtree Legal (operating from the Innovation Hub). He has worked previously at Lavan Legal, one of Western Australia’s largest corporate law firms, as well as at the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia.
The free workshop will be a combination of presentations, games and activities. No experience, startup ideas, memberships or fees required! Capacity is limited, so register quick.
This event is part of our "Skills that uni won't teach you" workshop series, that will be running every academic week of the semester at Thursday 4pm in the Innovation Hub. Keep on the look-out for more!
