Entrepreneering the Future
How do we prepare ourselves, our businesses and our society to deal with disruptive technologies and a rapidly changing world?
Join us on the 6th October to learn from one of the world's most renowned futurists, Professor Ray Wills, on how to stay ahead of the curve and 'Entrepreneer the Future'.
About the Event:
Previous markets warn us about how quickly new disruptive technologies might arrive. New supply chains arise far more quickly than in the past. And now clients are demanding cleaner, cheaper, faster, smarter – and also local. But, curiously, most market forecasts for new technology like renewables have assumed business as usual - traditional usage patterns continuing without anticipating shifts as fast, or disruptive. So, how quickly will we respond, and change how we live and work in the cities we live in? What does this mean for how we plan for infrastructure and regenerate cities? What does this mean for future business growth given rapidly changing community expectations?
About the Presenter:
Professor Ray Wills has had a wide–ranging career as researcher, academic, planner, consultant, adviser, manager, executive, and futurist. Prof Wills is an authoritative and respected commentator and adviser on sustainability, technology and futurism across all sectors including the built environment, cleantech, energy infrastructure, industrials, manufacturing, resources, transport, and water. Prof Wills' current research interests include adoption rates of technology, disruptive technology including automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing and the impact of social media on markets.
Prof Wills' was recognised by Singapore-based ABC Carbon as one of the Top 100 Global Leaders in Sustainability in 2011, an honour renewed each year since, and from 2014 listed by UK-based SustMeme Magazine as one of the top 100 Global Influencers in Social Media on Climate Change and Energy, based on independent social media metrics.
