Bombora is developing an award winning Wave Energy Converter system, converting ocean swell into cost effective renewable electricity. By having a low cost of electricity (comparable with onshore wind at maturity) achieved through their initial near shore location and multiple market access, increased survivability, lower associated infrastructure costs and shielded power take off design, Bombora has overcome the deficiencies of existing technology developers.   About our speaker   Shawn Ryan has over 12 years of experience as a consulting engineer, across a variety of industry sectors including, mining, oil and gas and heavy industry (power generation and petrochemical).   His technical and contract management skills have been developed as a Package Engineer and Project Manager on various EPCM projects, having delivered multimillion dollar, multidiscipline contract packages to specification, on time and within budgets for companies such as SKM, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, JP Kenny, Khalda Petroleum (Apache Energy), Aibel Oil and Gas, Burrup Fertilisers, Perth Energy and Tenaga Nasional Berhad. Shawn is well versed in the all forms of project execution from concept development, design, and specification through to contract implementation and administration.   His recent experience was to package engineer $40M of mechanical equipment from project concept through to commissioning for Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Cape Lambert Upgrade. Dylan, a Bloom Member and co-founder of VeriVote will be telling you how you can fund you company using equity, or slicing pie. Slicing pie means that you pay people who help your startup with equity, rather than cash. However, there is an art-form to slicing the pie fairly to make sure everyone is fairly compensated. Dylan will discuss the process of slicing pie and how to do it to achieve the best results for your startup. This is a FREE Bloom event.
